(Canton, NY – 12/17/18) Canton-based indie rock band Bee Children is proud to announce the release of its second album, Gather The Exiles. Recorded and mixed at EHJ Studios in Canton and mastered at Treelady Studios in Pittsburgh, the album features nine original songs, led by the propulsive single “Get Free,” the video for which was filmed at the Java Barn on the St. Lawrence University campus.
Gather The Exiles is available for digital download through a variety of online retailers including iTunes, Bandcamp, Amazon, Google Play, and CDBaby. It can also be streamed via the Spotify platform and on the band’s official website at www.wearebeechildren.com.
Originally created as an acoustic folk-pop project, the band released its debut album, Veranophonic, in 2015. Since that time, its sound has evolved into a more ambitious, electric mix that showcases their post-punk, new wave, synth-pop and college radio influences.
To celebrate the release of Gather The Exiles, Bee Children will perform at a special Benefit/House Concert in Sandfordville on Saturday, Feb. 16. More details will be announced soon.
Bee Children is John Collins, Shane Rogers, Terry DuBray, and Sarah Gates. The band has performed in a range of venues from intimate acoustic spaces and local bars to music hot spots and regional concert series and festivals.
